Welcome! This is just a holding page just now. It's created using a bookmarking system I initially wrote in Python (back in 2021, hence the massive gaps in the dates these bookmarks were added), which I'm now rewriting in Lua. I'm hoping to build a fully fleshed-out website using Lua, mainly to teach myself the language. All of these bookmarks are added to a plain text file which holds the details of each entry (title, url, date, tags, etc), then the script goes ahead and works out which tags need to be indexed and creates an HTML page accordingly.

I might make the code public (if there's any interest?) later on, but right now the script is far too inefficient and I'm slightly shy about how convoluted the whole thing is (it's using 260 lines of code, and I firmly believe it could be achieved in less than 100, once I get my coding chops up-to-scratch again).

Thank you for visiting. If you'd like to ask anything, feel free to email me at www24surfingtheweb@gmail.com.
